About Blue Skies Photography

My name is Marla. I have an incredible passion for photography. This blog is where I will share my pictures from my daily life. Pictures are priceless, little moments in time that are captured for eternity. I hope to share the triumphant moments, hard times, and random things that cross across my mind that go along with my pictures.

My patient, loving husband…

January 24, 2012: 24/366: Chef Hubby.

This morning, I was running a bit late and forget to start my pick-up. It’s been cold around here lately and the windows were a little frosty. Since I was running late, I gestured at Colby through the window to help me clear my windsheield. Well, he was taking forever to come outside (and I’m not always very patient) so I took over and got it clean enough for my short trip to town. Right then, Colby exited the house and began to spray the windows with de-icer.

Have you ever experienced the amazingness of de-icer? It’s some kind of chemical mixture that comes in a spray can. When you spray it on a layer of thin ice, the ice just disappears. It works pretty amazing and all, but I was running late and didn’t want to wait any longer. I waved to Colby, thinking the look on my face and my hand gestures surely conveyed the fact that I was ready to leave and that he needed to move out of my way.

I then backed out of the driveway. Colby was then the one gesturing, pointing at his toes. Apparently, I hadn’t gotten my point across and he hadn’t been ready for me to pull away. Since he was walking fine and appeared to be in no pain, I continued backing up, assuming I had just almost ran my husband over.

Nope, he sent me a text message that read, “You got my toes!” Of course, being the loving, caring wife I am, I called him to make sure he was okay. I may have been laughing as he assured me his feet were perfectly fine and that it had only hurt a little bit when the tire rolled over his toes.

Hmmm… so do you think I’m going to get the driver of the year award? Probably not right?
