Well hello there.

How are you? I am so happy to announce that I am alive, even if I did fall off the face of the Earth and abandon my blog for almost two months. I have no real explanation except for I was going through a whole bunch of stuff and once you get out of the pattern of blogging it becomes easier and easier to forgot. So I just kinda forgot about it, kept putting it off, and avoided my google reader. But I did think about all my lovely blog friends and wonder what they were all up to.

Lots has been going on around here!

For one, I got a new job. I am a secretary at a local extension office. I help farmers, which is pretty much perfect for me. And I get out of the house everyday! I love having a little bit of human interaction to look forward. I liked being a housewife, but honestly I didn’t have near enough to occupy my time.

Secondly, I turned twenty-three on Saturday. I’m not going to lie; I feel exactly like I did at twenty-two, but I did get the 100mm 2.8L Macro Lens! It is everything I dreamed it would be and I am having so much fun capturing all the little things around me.

Also, harvest has been rolling around for YEARS it seems. Things are going very slow though and I’m beginning to think we will never finish.

I think I get like that every single year though. I’m an impatient person and want it done quick.

I fully intend to return tomorrow and maybe even the next day; I mean, I have a lunch break with plenty of time to set down and type something out. I’m really going to stop avoid this place, because I love having a record of our life and my thoughts written down.

Take care friends and be sure tow check out You Capture. The theme this week is Harvest/Halloween.

Nicky - Beautiful shots! I’ve always wanted to get some photos of a combine harvester in action ^_^

Jaymi - welcome back Marla! ooh I would die for that 100mm 2.8 lens! you’re gonna have fun with that one!

Nicolasa - Hello friend! So good to hear from you! Congrats on the new job and happy birthday to you!

Christina M - Yay! So glad things are well. Good for you and the job. I love the photos. Harvest is dragging on here too. Probably for a different reason though. We keep getting rain that keeps us out for days at a time. That and there seems to be a million other things happening that need our time too. I am so glad you are back and things are good!

Marla - We’ve actually had snow (twice) set us back a couple days and the stuff won’t dry out! It’s insane.

Susan - Yeah! I’m glad you’re back, wondered what you were up to. Love the first shot, so pretty! Congrats on the new job too!

Ashley Sisk - So glad to see you back – my brother just started doing some harvest work and loves it. I’d love to get out there with him and do a little photography. How exciting to get the 100 mm.

Stacia - Wow! I do love John Deere green!

makenzie - so glad you are alive :) great photos of the harvest!!!

Treasia - What lovely shots of the combine and the fields. I grew up on a soybean and rice farm in Arkansas. My parents farmed rice and soybeans on over 1000 acres by themselves. Now that they have retired from the farm life, I sure wish I would have taken pictures of it as you have. Oh the memories it brings back to mind.

Tara - I’m so glad you are back! :)
